Jesus never stops healing and loves to show his love and gain glory for God :). It's by his wounds we are healed (Isaiah 53:5)
Howie Ju randomly sprained his right ankle bad last Friday 10 pm. After dinner he was stretching and cracking his ankles, and when we hung out in his room he said that his ankle started hurting a lot.
I looked at it and it was swelling and red ! He said if he put pressure on it when standing it hurt. So we prayed in faith asking Jesus to heal Howie's ankle completely. After hearing it felt a little better, we continued to pray. Then as we saw no immediate changes, we went decided to just sleep and wait for it to get better.
Howie laid in bed for an hour but it HURT SO MUCH he couldn't sleep. He left his bed at 1 am, put his ankle in water from 1-2 am, then iced it 2-330 am, and finally slept at 4 am. The brother was in pain, drained, and out !
Next morning about 10 am, Howie said his foot felt a lot better, Like 80 % healed ! Dang!! but I still had some suspicions, wondering if it was really healed. As he sat on bed and I chilled in my sleeping bag, we decided to pray. We were reminded about Eph 6:15, "feet fitted with readiness that comes from the gospel of peace". I got the word "diet" and Howie thought about Deut 8:3-4, about man living on word that comes from God's mouth and how God sustained them so their "feet" did not swell. For the PPP and the day we felt compelled to pray for peace and to fast.
As the day progressed by 9:00 PM, Saturday, Howie said his ankle felt 100% healed! He was walking around and fine! And since then, upon asking him about Sunday, Monday, and today, he still testifies that his ankle is 100% healed !
* Sprained Ankles naturally do not fully heal in one day ! God or odd? :) (James 1:17)
Fruit:
- howie's pain/accident inspired desperation to seek God in prayer/fasting
- healing resulted in greater faith in God and joy to see him work
