A Heart Aching

67 years old.
Francisco, the name.
Wheelchair.
Two calves cut off.
Replaced with two artificial ones.

Diabetes.
Back pain.
Cancer tumor removed.
Alone on campus.
Prayed for him.
A Believer.

"Where is your family?"

"They are in Mexico."
"Do you have any children?"
"Yes."
...
...
...
"What are their names?"
...
...
"This is out of the subject," he said to me.
(He basically meant "None of your business.")

I then knew something was wrong.
When I started to speak words of life and knowledge into him, he didn't respond to me at all. Something happened to his family, and that's why he's here in San Diego alone. Or maybe something happened to him. Lord knows it all.
And as I was talking....

"Thank you," He said, and dashed off.

Watching him leave, my heart ached.

"God love you so much!" I said, "He really does!!"
Broken for this man.

I've never felt like this before.
Quite painful.
The heart of God pierced into my heart.
I can still feel the sorrow as I'm typing right now.
God! Would You bring restoration to Francisco!!!

Enough of my spitting.
Nonetheless Lord did something in that man! I so believe that if he still has problems spiritually, he will still have problems physically.

Anyhow, I encourage EVERYONE to download Bill Johnson's message on the Right Context For Worship. You can't listen + watch this message without giving your 150% of your attention. It's a great message, and it's a message all of us need to hear. Right click to download this Video.

Had a good dinner with Robbie for the first time. Wahoo's Fish Taco in downtown La Jolla. Nice and healthy food. I like. I wish we could hang out longer, but I had to get to my studying for a CogSci midterm. Robbie's so chill right now cuz he's all done with school haha... good stuff Robbie.

Johnny

ps. I met a guy up on the snake when I was praying. Joseph Liski, graduated this past summer, came and gave me some encouragement because he prayed on the snake too when he was a student here. Good guy.

you know what? you've planted the seed, your life-giving words will echo in his heart whenever he feels depressed; those words will bring him hope when he feels hopeless; they will remind him of God's love when he feels lonely..

you and Jesus are such a great team!

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows." (2Corin.1:3~5)

blind eyes open you only live once.
open your eyes.
His love never fails. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works,
which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
~Ephesians 2:10~
