1. Blessed Be Your Name

    By johnny

    Blessed be Your name
In the land that is plentiful
Where Your streams of abundance flow
    Blessed be Your name

    Blessed be Your name
Where I'm found in the desert place
Though I walk through the wilderness
    Blessed by Your name

    Every blessing You pour out
    I'll turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in, Lord
    Still I will say

Blessed be the name of the Lord
    Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
    Blessed be Your glorious name

    Blessed be Your name
When the sun's shining down on me
When the world's all as it should be
    Blessed be Your name

    Blessed be Your name
On the road marked with suffering
Though there's pain in the offering
    Blessed be Your name

    Every blessing You pour out
    I'll turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in, Lord
    Still I will say

Blessed be the name of the Lord
    Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
    Blessed be Your glorious name

    You give and take away
    You give and take away
Me heart will choose to say
    Lord, blessed be Your name

This songs has never been so impacting. Thank You Jesus.

  2. Longest Weekend of My Life

    Sunday, April 26, 2009
    By johnny

Tired. Know that God is good all the time.

    First Chapter of JOB-

At this, Job got up and tore his robe and shaved his head.
Then he fell to the ground in worship and said:
"Naked I came from my mother's womb,
    and naked I will depart.
    The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away;
may the name of the LORD be praised.

In all this, Job did not sin by charging God with wrongdoing.

    Last Chapter of JOB-

The LORD blessed the latter part of Job's life more than the first.
He had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels,
a thousand yoke of oxen and a thousand donkeys.
And he also had seven sons and three daughters...
    After this, Job lived a hundred and forty years;
he saw his children and their children to the fourth generation.
And so he died, old and full of years.

Many bible heroes have encountered tremendous loss, yet they came out of the season victorious. I never have expected that Austen would impact my world in such a manner. But I believe we shall receive more blessings from the Lord in the coming months/years!

What a test from the Lord this is - to cling unto His faithfulness and to CHOOSE to praise Him and bless His name in the midst of craziness because His ways are higher than our ways and His plans are better than our plans.

I just read the post I wrote on January 22nd, the day before Austen's diagnosis came out. And this really spoke to me now: "I believe we ought to start shouting for joy and thanking Him in advance for what He is about to do! Through doing this we are creating an atmosphere that ushers in the breakthrough." I felt like Jesus is telling me that we have already thank Him for what happened this weekend. A season of mourning and restoration is coming up, yet we shall come out of it victoriously and have a breakthrough from it.

A.J. I love you and have fun chillin on the streets of gold!

  3. Don't Fear!

Annie, I should've bought that book back for you, but you've got no fear of childbirth anyways! Well, Austen Javelin is about to take this world by force in a day or two! Keep on praying for my sista's smooth & painless delivery of this big boy AJ!

I love reading Psalm 91 with my name in it.
It really speaks to me when I put my name in the word and proclaim God's promise all over me.

9 If Johnny makes the Most High Johnny's dwelling—
even the LORD, who is my refuge-

10 then no harm will befall Johnny,
no disaster will come near Johnny's tent.

11 For He will command His angels concerning Johnny
    to guard Johnny in all Johnny's ways;

12 they will lift Johnny up in their hands,
so that Johnny will not strike Johnny's foot against a stone.

Yay for God's amazing promise. I've got angels backing me up.
    SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET.

  4. Off The Crutches She Went!

    Friday, April 17, 2009
    By johnny
Cristina experienced the power of the Holy Spirit
and the love of Christ through healing
    tonight (Apr.16) @ 7:25pm in front of
    Sierra Summit
    in Muir College @ UCSD!

Well, because my cell phone has a sucky camera, the image is not very clear! However, Peter and I were walking to our Econ review session, and Peter nudged me and said, "look over there, a girl on crutches!"

Cristina, a second year student here @ UCSD, is a sister in Christ who attends Intervarsity fellowship on campus! Well, I thank the Lord that she has the faith for healing, and He honored our faith! I laid my hand over her left foot and declare victory over pain and broken cells, and commanded the torned ligament to be made whole right then in the name of Jesus.

After the first prayer, she stood up and was in shock, because she said she felt a significant improvement and her foot was not hurting as much. She told me that she was pretty much 50% healed. Moreover, she said she felt a little tingly sensation in that foot (HEY, THERE'S THE SIGN!).

So I shared my Feb. 3 testimony (YouTube Video on the right), and told her that God is healing her right now; we shouldn't stop praying, but rather we should thank Him for the 50% healing, and ask Him for a finish job! So I prayed a similar prayer again and to declare healing over her left foot. After the second prayer, she told me that she felt the tingly feeling even more, and she stood up again and said, "This is so weird!" By then I was just thanking and praising Jesus for His presence and sweeeeeeetness! She told me that there is still a little pain, but she felt like she is almost healed! So we started to chat a little about fellowship and stuff, and after the little chat, she told me the pain was ALL GONE and all there's left is soreness!

And of course, you gotta ask for protection, so I prayed over that left foot again and asked the Lord to protect it from enemy's attack. I told her that some people received healing, but later on the pain came back because they did not grab hold of that healing. So Cristina sure did grab hold of that healing, and she was touched by the power of the Holy Spirit and the love of Christ through that! And in the end she held up her crutches and left, walking normally! Thanks Jesus, You are awesome and I love it when You just show up like that, and all we did was pray =D

If this is the first time you have heard/read something like this, and you are a Christ follower, I would like to encourage you with this:
You do not have to hold crusade meetings to see healing or miracles, YOU already have the authority to heal because the authority has been given to you from above; moreover, you are SUMMONED to heal the sick, raise the dead, clease the lepers, cast out demons, and set the captives free! All you got to do is to take that leap of faith! If I can do it on a university campus, you can do it wherever you are! God honors every step of faith we take!

    The difference between
    the people who do something
and the people who do not do something
    is that
    the people who do something
    actually do something!

    - Banning Liebscher

This will surely be on YouTube soon. Stay tuned....

    Johnny

ps. I would have video recorded right on the spot with Cristina, but I do not have a digital camera with a video function. Now I know what I should pray for! And if you want to sew into this, maybe you'd like to support me with a digital camera that has good-quality video recording function! =D

  5. Pressed Down, Shaken Together, Running Over

    Wednesday, April 15, 2009
    By johnny
This past Friday, I put in my tithe, it was not a big amount but I was already over my budget. So I said to the Lord, "Lord, I happily give and I believe that You would provide me!"

So the next day - my 21st birthday - my grandma gave me a cash gift (don't you just love those?) which is TEN TIMES the amount of what I put into that box! Praise Jesus!

And yesterday, right before I left for San Diego, my dad also gave me some living expenses which is ALSO TEN TIMES the amount of what I tithed!

And it wasn't until I was driving down to SD that I remembered God's promise on being abundant financially and lacking nothing! And I was just praising the Lord and thanking Him for who He is and His more-than-enough provision and His never-ending faithfulness! In just three days, I received TWENTY TIMES MORE than what I gave out!

I spent a good time with Biblical Keys to Financial Prosperity (one of SOD's required books) and I am loving every promise of the Lord because those are for me!

And just now I received an email from my school telling me that a refund of my financial aid has been issued to my bank account. I always get my financial aid refund at the beginning of the quarters, but somehow my school decided to give me a little extra! And the amount is EXACTLY the amount I gave on Friday!

So, I better start taking this prosperity thing seriously, cause God has shown me that He is darn serious about making us prosper through providing me TWENTY-ONE (I like this number since I'm 21 now!) times back in a matter of FOUR DAYS! Now I shall tithe again this week and believe that God will multiply what I sow, and I will receive prosperity through Honoring the Lord with my finance! And as I was thinking about it, the Holy Spirit told me to, from now on, not only tithe but also save another 10% for my mission trip to Cambodia this summer!

Alright, I'm gonna do this! God is good =D

Here are two of the many promises in financial abundance from the Lord:

Give, and it will be given to you.
    A good measure,
pressed down, shaken together and running over,
will be poured into your lap.
For with the measure you use,
it will be measured to you.
    -Luke 6:38-

Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse,
that there may be food in my house.
Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty,
"and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven
and pour out so much blessing
that you will not have room enough for it.
    -Malachi 3:10-

Favor of God + Favor of Men = Unstoppable

  6. The Beginning of 21

    Tuesday, April 14, 2009
    By johnny
    Johnny shall have joy in Your strength, O Lord;
And in Your salvation how greatly shall Johnny rejoice!

You have given Johnny his heart's desire,
And have not withheld the request of Johnny's lips.

    For You meet
    Johnny with the blessings of goodness;
You set a crown of pure gold upon Johnny's head.

Johnny asked life from You, and You gave it to him--
Length of days forever and ever.

    Johnny's glory is great in Your salvation;
Honor and majesty You have placed upon Johnny.

    For You have made Johnny most blessed forever;
You have made Johnny exceedingly glad with Your presence.

For Johnny trusts in the Lord,
And through the mercy of the Most High Johnny shall not be moved.

    -Psalm 21:1~7-

Thanks to John Hendrixon who suggested me to read Psalm 21 on my 21st birthday! I totally receive the word, and I believe this psalm would mark my 21st year here on earth. I will be constantly aware of who I am - a king with God's blessings of goodness with a crown of pure gold upon my head; a man received God's eternal life. God has placed upon me honor and majesty. I really like this one: God has made me joyful with His presence!

Jesus, I come before You, and once again I offer up this new year up to You. Do whatever You want to do in my life, and keep on surprise me with Your goodness, love, and mercy! Another year has passed, and when I looked back, I see the footprints You and I have left on this path of life -- ups and downs, sharp turns and smooth rides, slow jogs and fast sprints. I enjoy them all and I expect more in this new year of my life, because You have poured out Your favor and love over me! Teach me Your ways, and show me Your paths, Lord. I will follow.

Lastly, I am here to make a personal decree with You, Jesus, that this year be a year of breakthrough in intimacy with You. I want to know what You're thinking and what You're doing; I want my heart to beat at the same rate as Yours. I would be digging deeper into Your words and be captivated by who You are. Everything else comes second. I just want to know Your heart. And I once again come before You and ask the blood of Christ to wash me clean so I can walk in purity and holiness.

Do not love the world or the things in the world.
If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
For all that is in the world --
    the lust of the flesh,
    the lust of the eyes,
    and the pride of life

-- is not of the Father but is of the world.

    And the world is passing away, and the lust of it;
but he who does the will of God abides forever.
    -1 John 2:15~17-

And these 3 verses shall be my guide for the rest of my life. It is a battle to fight against my flesh, my eyes, and my heart. And I do not want anything less than 100% of God's Kingdom, therefore I should have 0% of the world. I don't belong here, I'm just here to stay for a while and to share with those about the place I am from.

Anyhow... I saw this on the side bar of facebook:

I really enjoy this education ad, and as I hovered my mouse over each one, that little facade would pop up! I see this as an encouragement from the Lord because Christians SHOULD BE naturally talented in healing since we are called to be naturally talented in the supernatural (if that makes sense)! And that's what I want to see on this earth! Come on!!!!
I love You Father. I love You Jesus. I love You Holy Spirit!
READY FOR SOME SMOKIN' MIRACLE TESTIMONIES!!
    BRING IT ON!!!

  7. Psalm 91:5-6

    Thursday, April 9, 2009
    By johnny

You shall not be afraid of the terror by night,
Nor of the arrow that flies by day,
Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness,
Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.

These two verses suggest that we would face terror, arrows, pestilence, and destruction, yet we shall not be afraid of what ever comes at us by night or by day. Remember the two verses before talked about hiding under His wings and being covered by His feathers. Because we can rest assure in His protection, we shall not be afraid of what the world might throw at us. We are masterchiefs from HALO inside of an ever-lasting bubble shield, and that shield is made out of feathers.

Sometimes we fear that we might have fears, and when there is a fear, there is insecurity, there is doubt. I think about my school work and sometimes I would fear that I would not get good grades or do well on tests. There's this one time when my mind was so confused with all the equations and definitions that I literally wanted to rip my head apart or maybe I was on the brink of having a breakdown. It is never fun to have fear from the enemy that suppresses you into looking down on yourself. David did not have fear when he comes before Goliath, because he fears God more than he fears Goliath. He can still stand firm on the ground before Goliath, but NO ONE can stand in the presence of God. If we fear God, whom else shall we fear?

But select capable men from all the people—men who fear God, trustworthy men who hate dishonest gain—and appoint them as officials over thousands, hundreds, fifties and tens.
    -Exodus 18:21-

    This is my blood
    Poured out for you
    This is my body
    Broken for you

    Take of this cup
    And never thirst again
And drink in remembrance of me
    Take of my body
    And never hunger more
    Eat in remembrance of me

    My love it satisfies
My blood it gives you life
My mercy far outweighs your need
    My justice never fails
    My faithfulness prevails
My strength is poured out for the weak

There is a river, a river
    A river that never runs
    Never runs dry

    My cup running over
    My fountain of life
    Never runs dry
    My cup running over
    The wellspring of life
    It satisfies

    Wellspring
    by Audra Lynn

I believe as we start to have that God-fear running through our veins, we would become the most dangerous people in the entire world. As we start taking sips from that wellspring of life that never runs dry, we cultivate a trust and we should share that well with the world instead of keeping this treasure of yours as a secret to all and have the well all to yourself.

God I thank You for this revelation. I know that I would tremble before You for who You are. I would tremble in reverence because You are great, mighty, and powerful. Today I come before you with my head bowed low and knees on the ground, asking for Your mighty wings to cover and protect me from all attacks that come in the day or night. I trust in You because You are a well that never runs dry, and I know I'll never be thirsty again, ever.
    Amen.

  8. Richard Dawkins

    Tuesday, April 7, 2009
    By johnny
Richard Dawkins, for those who don't know, is one of the foremost voices in both the scientific and atheist community against the idea or existence of God. Dawkins has a mega-best seller book called the God Delusion in which he contends that a supernatural creator almost certainly does not exist and that belief in a personal god qualifies as a delusion, and that parents teaching their children Christian principles is child abuse. Dawkins and his crusaders, Daniel Dennett, Sam Harris and Christopher Hitchens on the 30th of September 2007, sat down under the banner of the four horsemen, all four authors have recently received a large amount of media attention for their writings against religion. In this conversation the "four horsemen" tell stories of the public’s reaction to their recent books and they discuss their questions of what to do about religion today, and propose their ideas for new strategies to make war against God. The "Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse" is a term used to describe four horsemen that appear in the Bible in chapter six of the Book of Revelation. The verses traditionally describe the four horsemen as Pestilence, War, Famine, and Death.
Biologist Richard Dawkins is also one of the most outspoken members of the New Atheist movement, a movement that only a few years ago started a Blasphemy Challenge in which it encouraged young atheists to make a video of themselves performing the ‘unforgivable sin’ (which Mark 3:28-29 refers to as “blasphemy against the Holy Spirit”), post it on YouTube, and as a reward for “selling their soul,” they would win a copy of Flemming’s anti-religion documentary, The God Who Wasn’t There. Not long ago, Dawkins also produced a two-part film series for BBC entitled ‘Religion: The Root of All Evil?’ The list goes on and on, even his noted scientific achievements, reak of egotistical humanism and epitomize everything evil in evolutions history of trying to establish ones self above the rest (survival of the fittest). His most notable achievement, is his coining the term selfish gene. In 1976 Dawkins wrote a book called, Selfish Gene, on evolution. It builds upon the principal theory of George C. Williams's first book Adaptation and Natural Selection. Dawkins is on a crusade to lead the progressive darwinist to the next level of scientific brutality against Christ and His followers. Joseph Stalin, Mao Zedong, Pol Pott, and Adolf Hitler were not justified by their religion, they were justified in the killing of millions of innocent people, by their science. With scientists, pastors, priests, atheists, Christians and the masses being brainwashed and indoctrinated by these "New Atheists", it is only a matter of time before we begin to see the brutality of their ideologies unleashed. The collision course is being set, are you prepared? Should we fear them or their ideologies of death? Absolutely not! Was Jesus afraid of Rome? Absolutely not! Jesus overcame the world and promised we also would overcome the world. Jesus promised us persecution and trials, saying, "if they hated Me, they will hate you also." The Church has grown exponentially during times of great testing and trials, now will be no different. We are headed for one of the greatest hours of the Church. Prepare yourself through prayer, fasting, and seeking the face of God.

    *********************

And so we were there in the third row, right in front of Dawkins. At the end of his lecture on "there is simply no purpose to anything" there was an Q&A session. So some of us went up and asked him what he view on Eugenics and Secular Humanism is, and to repent and accept the love of Christ into his life. Dawkins mocked Eddie with "yawn, yawn, yawn" as he asked him about the millions died in the name of Secular Humanism and Eugenicism. And the entire room of atheists and humanists mocked and laughed at us as we stood and showed the love of Christ. There were actually 10 questions during Q&A, but they stopped the Q&A because we were asking questions. The room was about to explode.

And after the lecture we went outside and saw some brothers/sisters worshiping outside, and they told us that an atheist just got saved and they were praying for him! It was such an encouragment to all of us, and I believe that's so worth the stand! I heard that brother who just got saved said something like "as I saw you guys were up there and we were all down here laughing, I couldn't help but to think 'what are we doing?'" I'm super encouraged to see immediate fruit from our little stand! And I'm still believing for Richard Dawkin's salvation! Amen!

God is so good and Jesus saves.

  9. UCSD's Prank on April Fool's Day

    Thursday, April 2, 2009
    By johnny

I guess this would be a great prank but the matter is way to serious to prank. 29,000 people got cheated, including our very beloved Abraham Shen. Sorry Abby, you can call me names and I'll buy you lunch for being prank'd.... just kidding.

Thought I'd share about how my school appeared on the front page of various news websites.

Stay tuned for more Psalms 91....
Tomorrow night's prayer meeting @ church will be remarkable. I can feel it in my spirit. I believe as we diligently seek His face in one accord we will receive so much just because He's in the room!

but those who hope in the LORD
    will renew their strength.
    They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.

  10. Psalm 91:3-4

    Wednesday, April 1, 2009
    By johnny

Surely He will save you from the fowler's snare
    and from the deadly pestilence.
He will cover you with his feathers,
    and under His wings you will find refuge;
His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

Something came to me: God's got feathers and wings! So? Well, I don't know, I thought that's a good point to make. Why don't I have feathers and wings if I'm created in His image?

Well, I guess I gotta take that one up with the Creator.

Anyhow, back to the verses. In this season of prayer and to close to His heart, we need to just come before Him on our knees and be like Mary. And it is always encouraging to know that we are made to live out a victorious life ever since the moment we are born again. And that we have Eternal Insurance Card given by this God who has feathers and wings (I'm still not over with this...lol)! I think that's pretty rad.

So now you're in the fortress, you've got a pass to enter. And what comes with the entry pass is protection under the shadow of His wings and being covered by His feathers. Moreover, we are given a shield as we cling on to His faithfulness. So as we keep on saying, "GOD YOU ARE FAITHFUL and I THROW MYSELF UNTO YOUR FAITHFULNESS," we are equipped with SHIELD.

Okay, stay tuned for the next two verses....

On a side note: I emailed our "M-Daddy" Mark Hendrickson for a quick update of what's been going on here @ Impact and he sent back a great response and encouragement for all of us:

    Johnny

You are my hero!!! I love your reports and the way you convey your heart and life! Thanks!

Well, sounds like a whole lot a shaking's going on!

All I can say right now is, Stay close to Jesus. The smaller and simpler you can get, the better. The closer you can get means the more secure you'll be during the shaking.

Strange stuff about your church building. Obviously, you've been pushing the law, so it's not exactly a surprise. Well, May the Lord give you clear direction through this new development. I know there's a way that the Lord can make that will be blessed and good for all. Where is it, Lord??? Help! We need Your help!!! Will you show the path that will take Impact into Your perfect will for the building location?!?! Amen!

I love the pics. Annie is really showing now. I'm excited.

Yeh, Luke said you hooked him up with this Uganda guy. Really cool. You are the big time networker now!!! :-) Good job! He and John were talking yesterday about the details and people that will be helping on the project. And are looking forward to coming out to LA soon.

SO, there you have it. That's all for now!

    Lotsa love
    Mark

As you can kinda tell from the last part of the email, that Luke and John are coming over! Stay tuned for the dates....muhahahaha

AAAND! One last thing. I saw Pastor "J-T" Jeff Taguchi on facebook so we chatted and he told me some real encouraging stuff in Hong Kong and in Taiwan: they are praying to buy an abandonned Nazarene school in Guan-Du, Taiwan, and below the school is actually the Guan-Du Temple! The strategic location of that school is right on! Praise the Lord!

And after I shared with him what's been going on here, he pretty much responded like Mark did: to stay close to the heart of God. He also encouraged us to approach our neighbor and see what exactly is the problem and meet his needs and share the love of Jesus with him. Only two things will happen when the need is met: 1) He won't bother us and/or 2) He will receive Jesus into his heart. I know what Jeff's talking about, and I believe God can do that because it's He who changes the hearts. Jeff is very excited for us and the opportunity for all of us to gather for prayer during such a time as this!

We just need to stay close to Jesus and ask Him what He's got in mind! What is Your plan Jesus???? We need Your help!!!!! It's time to break that alabaster jar and kneel at His feet!

    Johnny

ps. Just watched some good Kris Vallotton video on Youtube talking about the same thing. Real short and sweet.
